Hitting the road
Hey all
well Stefanie and I had our first offical business meeting today. For those of you who may not know, Stefanie is a girl I met in my masters program who has a heart for terminally and chronically ill children, just like me. She is a Christian and we are so blessed that God has given us the same vision to work with these children.
We are working on plans this year to open a center for terminally ill children. We want to provide in a hospital setting a place for children to engage in childhood, to be seen as capable and competent to help in their own care and to focus on living. We are at the ground level of these plans and would much appreciate your prayers and suggestions as we go about listening to the Father for the plans He has for us.
We are going to tour a center for grieving children on Thursday in Denver and will hopefully get more networking contacts out of that.
Other than that today is my first offically unemployed day. I finished with grad school and my internship on last friday and agreed to teach First Aid and CPR to the new interns at the school I was at last year on Monday. So today is the first day with no official work, although I am doing some admin stuff for the college ministry as the students get back to school next week.
Please also pray for income this next year. As always I worry about how the bills will get paid and when the next paycheck in coming but the Lord has always been faithful, so pray that I would continue to remember that and that I would end up wherever the Lord already has plans for me this year.
